Apple Pay Later: a new deferred payment service presented

0 0

Apple has unveiled this new feature which should be very popular with its users.

The keynote of this WWDC 2022 allowed Apple to present its new feature: Apple Pay Later. This service will be accessible in all countries where Apple Pay operates, therefore in France. Concretely, you can therefore divide the cost of your purchase into four payments of the same price, all without interest or additional costs. Note that transactions must still take place within six weeks of purchase.

An option that could make Apple’s heyday

With this novelty, Apple is clearly chasing fintechs already well established on the market, such as the Swedish company Klarna. Except that the Cupertino company could do very badly here because it already has a very large clientele.

During this WWDC keynote, Apple also presented iOS 16. Additional new features are arriving and they are clearly welcome. We note in particular this completely customizable lock screen which allows you to choose the font, or the colors, and to add widgets.

For now, the release date of iOS 16 is still a little unclear, but we can expect this fall. Even if betas should, as always, arrive shortly.

Yourself, what do you think of this new Apple Pay Later?
