MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M2 chip confirmed?

0 0

There are only a few hours left before we discover these two computers or not.

While two Mac minis were also spotted on the same site recently , B&H Photo ‘s online store has just leaked two other unannounced Apple products. The first is a MacBook Air, which here offers a 14-inch panel and is powered by an M2 processor. The second is a MacBook Pro with the same proprietary chip.

Nothing surprising so far, since this duo has already been talked about several times in recent weeks. It is thus possible that the store was aware of the technical sheets before tonight’s keynote . Beginning at 7 p.m., the opening keynote of the Worldwide Developer Conference 2022 will perhaps be an opportunity to check whether these items are indeed ready to be marketed.

Macbook Air M2

To begin with, it is therefore the MacBook Air M2 which is particularly awaited because it is supposed to renew a range whose most recent edition dates all the same from 2020. A calendar which drags on, if we compare it to the usual rate of release of Apple.

Today, the MacBook Air offers a 13-inch display. The switch to a larger screen would be due in particular to the reduction in the width of the borders and the contouring of the camera , as we have seen with the MacBook Pros which arrived on the market at the end of 2021. As for the M2 chip, it should offer enhanced but limited performance so as not to compete with the most expensive laptops from the same manufacturer.

Finished the 13-inch MacBook Pro?

The second candidate for formalization today is a MacBook Pro also with an M2 motherboard. It could come to replace the MacBook Pro M1 still on the shelves, with also a revisited design to be entitled to a larger diagonal .

According to 9to5Mac who was able to verify this data, the machine would have the chance to be more affordable than the current 14 and 16 inch versions. Perhaps, therefore, thanks to a less powerful processor, but still with specifications beyond what the MacBook Air offers.

Which of these two laptops do you plan to treat yourself to this year?
